Green Music Australia’s NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET t-shirt collaboration with rock legend Jimmy Barnes is now live!
Jimmy Barnes is the latest artist to join our series of merchandise collaborations raising vital funds to mobilise the music community for urgent climate action. “If we want a future filled with music, we all need to play our part — so there’s still a stage for the next generation to stand on.” - Jimmy Barnes
This release features a vintage black t-shirt with “No Barnesy On A Dead Planet” printed on 100% recycled materials, along with a digital download of his new album DEFIANT, releasing on Friday 6 June. Other artists who have joined this fundraising campaign include Midnight Oil, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Missy Higgins, Lime Cordiale, The Rubens, Amyl and the Sniffers, In Hearts Wake and King Stingray.
The NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET movement was launched in the UK in 2021 by Music Declares Emergency. The project invites the global music community to call for bold climate action, and activate the power of music fans to vote for the planet. To date, artists across the world have collaborated on the campaign including Billie Eilish, Thom Yorke, & Joy Division.
In 2025, Green Music Australia have relaunched their NO MUSIC ON A DEAD PLANET campaign, aiming to make climate a central focus of the upcoming federal election. Learn more about the campaign here.
