Green Music Australia extends its heartfelt thanks to Tracee Hutchison as she steps down from her role as Chair after more than five and a half years of dedicated service.
During her tenure, Tracee played a pivotal role in guiding the organisation through a period of significant growth and some of the most challenging circumstances faced by both the music sector and the broader arts community. Her leadership helped steer Green Music Australia through the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as major climate related disasters including bushfires and floods, while strengthening the organisation's strategic direction, governance and long-term resilience.
A respected broadcaster, journalist and music advocate, Tracee brought decades of experience, deep industry relationships and a lifelong commitment to the Australian music community to her role. Beyond her contributions as Chair, she generously shared her knowledge and perspective through public events, mentoring opportunities, her involvement in the Sound Country Artist Leadership Retreats and the No Music On A Dead Planet federal election campaigns.
Her encouragement of emerging artist leaders, commitment to environmental action, and steadfast support for Green Music Australia's mission have helped shape the organisation and its culture. Tracee's contribution has left a lasting mark on Green Music Australia and the broader movement.
Green Music Australia thanks Tracee for her extraordinary contribution and wishes her every success in her future endeavours.
Board Member Joe Muller (Managing Director of MusicNSW) will step into the role of Acting Chair until a new Chair is appointed later this year.
