No doubt you know about the planned Adani coal mine – absolute criminal madness in the face of our teetering global climate. You probably also know about the amazing grassroots movement that is building to stop it.

How can musicians get more active on climate change and coal?

As part of the #StopAdani Roadshow, Green Music Australia, 350, Rob Hirst and Ash Grunwald present three special briefings for musicians interested in supporting and participating in campaigns to prevent the biggest coal mine in Australia from being built.

This is the single most important fight in Australia – to protect our fragile climate, to defend rights of Indigenous people, to save what we can of the Great Barrier Reef, and to prevent ever worsening fires, floods, droughts and heatwaves.

If you have ever thought about getting active, now is the moment, and these briefings are not to be missed.

This event is an opportunity for us to come together in small groups and discuss what we, as musicians, can do to play our part in this vital fight.

From fundraising gigs to divesting to joyful, musical extravaganza events – what is our special role as musicians in this movement?

I’ll start the conversation with a bit about musical activism, we’ll hear from a 350 campaigner about Adani and the campaigns to stop it, Ash (Brisbane and Melbourne) and Rob (Sydney) will tell us about their personal experiences, and then we’ll have a roundtable discussion and see where it leads us!
