Mark Smith is the Executive Director of MusicNT, the peak body for music in the Northern Territory. MusicNT champions the local music industry through programs like Bush Bands, Music Rangers, and the All Good live event safety initiative. The organisation also plays a key role in major national events, including the National Indigenous Music Awards, Music Writers Lab, and the inaugural Regional and Remote Music Summit. Previously, Mark served as Chairperson of the Creative Industries Ministerial Advisory Council in the Northern Territory and is now a Board Member of Regional Arts Australia, further advocating for regional and remote arts communities. Before his work at MusicNT, Mark was deeply embedded in the music scene as a touring musician and band manager, working with Sietta, Culture Connect, and Yilila and he continues to perform as often as he can.
