AMPED UP is launched, and we’d love you to get involved!
We’re hugely grateful to Footscray Community Arts Centre (FCAC) for hosting the launch of AMPED UP as part of the launch of their amazing installation of solar panels, LED lighting and a Tesla battery. FCAC are really showing the way here, and we hope to build on their success by helping other venues and studios to save energy, save money and save the planet.
If you are keen to look into solar and energy efficiency upgrades for your venue or studio, here is all the information on getting AMPED UP.
As part of the launch event, we got to inspect the Telsa Powerwall battery that FCAC has installed – and it really is both beautiful and impressive. The battery, which was paid for through the crowdfunding and financing campaign managed by our partner, Energy For the People, is filled by solar panels on the roof, and contributes substantially to power use overnight.
Representatives from FCAC, Green Music Australia and Energy For the People introduced the event in a room lit by extremely energy efficient and high quality LED strip lighting.
Darren from FCAC showed us the remarkable energy use changes since installing the solar, LEDs and battery, in the theatre space lit by LED stage lights and space lighting.
With the expert advice of Energy For the People, and the support they and Green Music Australia can give through the process, it’s easy to get AMPED UP about energy efficiency and solar power. Please help us spread the word and green the music scene by sharing this page!
