Who delivers GAP?

The Green Action Program is delivered by Green Music Australia, the national peak body for music and the environment. The workshops and components will be delivered by a range of sustainability and music experts including:

Emma Bosworth

Emma is a Queensland singer-songwriter and an integral part of Green Music Australia. She drives initiatives like the Green Action Program, now in its third year and supported by Creative Australia and NSW EPA, engaging industry leaders such as ABC Music, Live Nation, and MusicNSW to address the sector’s environmental impact. Emma also co-developed AMIDESI, a tool for tracking the music industry’s social and environmental footprint, and founded Wild Mountains Songs, a retreat that reconnects mid-career songwriters with nature to inspire creativity and collaboration.

Matt Wicking

Matt Wicking is a facilitator, artist and activist. A settler living on Gadubanud land and long-time advocate for environmental and social justice causes, Matt works with progressive groups to help them amplify their impact. He currently works as freelance facilitator and environmental consultant with Cloud Catcher and as singer with Melbourne band, The General Assembly. He has a Masters of Environment, plus degrees in Psychology and Commerce. Previous roles include: running the Future Makers Fellowship at the Centre for Sustainability Leadership; Communications Advisor at the Bureau of Meteorology; Greenie-in-Residence at Arts House; facilitating environmental education at Monash Sustainable Development Institute; and many years’ experience as a sustainability consultant.

Nidala Barker

Nidala Barker is a Jabirr-Jabirr and Djugun singer-songwriter, public speaker, and custodianship educator. She is also the co-founder of an alternative education program which centres Indigenous practices and wisdoms in its curriculum and delivery method. Sitting at the intersection of climate justice, Indigenous practise and the music industry, Nidala's work focuses on mobilising people in service of Country and Culture. In 2021, she released a carbon-neutral EP titled ‘Colours of My People’ which led to the planting of over 70,000 native plants. Nidala serves on the boards of Green Music Australia and The Returning Indigenous Corporation.
