On July 27th, some of Brisbane’s best musician’s joined a public action in front of the Commonwealth Bank, calling on the bank to be a climate leader and stop funding coal projects, starting with Adani’s dirty coal mine. Commonwealth Bank have an existing relationship with Adani and are yet to rule out funding for the mega Carmichael coal mine. The CommBank board is meeting in August to discuss their climate policy – this was our best chance to make sure the Bank rules out funds for Adani.
