A PATHWAY FOR VENUES TO REDUCE COSTS AND EMISSIONS
We officially launched our NSW Venue Sustainability Health Check Report at the Regional & Remote Music Summit revealing a powerful pathway for NSW live music venues to cut both costs and carbon emissions. We found:
MEET AUSTRALIA’S FIRST CERTIFIED GREEN VENUES We’re thrilled to announce the first nine certified Green Venues in Australia as part of our 2025 pilot program! Participating venues were assessed on energy, waste, water, food & drink, and procurement, with ratings from 2 to 4 stars listed on our Green Venue Directory. Certified venues: Anita’s Theatre · Bondi Pavilion · Brunswick Picture House · Club 77 · ICC Sydney · King St Newcastle · La La La’s · The Lansdowne Hotel · Metro Theatre Want to join the next round? NSW venues can now register their interest ahead of our next certification intake this October.
PARTY WITH THE PLANET – FESTIVAL ROUNDTABLE SERIES Our 2025 Party With The Planet national online series are designed for festival organisers, workers and teams keen to green their operations. Upcoming Sessions: AUG 4 – Powering Festivals: Smarter Energy Use AUG 25 – Less Mess: Rethinking Festival Waste SEP 22 – Using Data to Drive Change OCT 20 – Messaging Sustainability Each session includes expert panels, real-world case studies, and post-session toolkits. Last month we were thrilled to host the official launch of Creative Climate – a First Nations and artist-led national consortium. The consortium will serve as the peak body for arts and climate action, driving systemic change across the sector.
