BYO Bottle Artist Ambassadors

I can’t count the number of plastic water bottles I’ve used, but I’m going to challenge myself this month to make a sustainable change. We must fight the plastic water bottles!

“We won’t play ’til the plastic goes away. If we all live by this, venues and festivals will catch on pretty soon. Who knows how far it can go from there” The Teskey Brothers

A little from you and me can add to a lot. Please chip in by using a reusable bottle and help protect our environment.

“We believe that it’s up to us to take care of this planet we’re living on, and the smallest changes can make a difference. We’re apart of BYObottle and will be refilling our own bottles on tour and cutting out plastic waste.”

“Coming from Sydney’s Bondi Beach, we hate seeing plastic bottle litter our beautiful beach and other beaches around Oz – that’s why we only use reusable bottles.”

I have been doin ma bits carrying one of these for the past 15 months or so. Learning to love tap water and knowing that I’m helping just a little to decrease the waste problem is enough. Get one, give the planet a cuddle.

I love bringing my own water bottle to gigs so there’s really no need for so much plastic at events. We can easily reuse and refill! Take your own cup to the cafe, folks and #byobottle to shows!!

“If using my reusable drink bottle and avoiding one use plastics will help the planet in a small way then I’d love to play my part” Alex tells us she’s requested “no plastic” on her Splendour rider, and told all her mates to bring their own bottles. What a ledge.

There’s no excuse for single-use plastic bottles and cups in this day and age. #BYOBottle

‘Once you start carrying your own bottle or cup, the very idea of single use plastic being used to hold 500ml of liquid becomes completely ridiculous. It’s something we can easily change in the music industry and everywhere else’ – Winterbourne

It’s not hard to ditch the plastic, if we can do it you can. Let’s send the message loud and clear: no more plastic bottles!

If we ever see you and a plastic bottle together… why I oughtta!

“Go plastic free as much as you can. Plastics create so much waste it’s cruel. We are abusing the ocean and harming the lives of the creatures who live there because of excessive plastic waste. Messing up the balance of the whole earth” Jess Ribeiro

We as consumers have the power to change what the market supplies. Single use plastic bottles have always been a dumb idea – now we know the extent of the damage they cause, it’s time to stop using.

Thanks for the prompt, I should’ve made this commitment years ago.

I’m trying to make a conscious effort to stop buying plastic water bottles and use my own everywhere I go so I can minimise the impact I have on the environment. I get that it can be hard to make the switch but in reality, there’s almost always water taps most places you go so why not take your own water bottle everywhere you go!

Reducing single-use plastic containers is a big focus in our household and on the road. Besides water tastes better from cold metal!

Every little step is important!

“I travel a lot and always make sure i have my own water bottle with me everywhere i go. Both my hip pocket and the planet can’t afford throwaways” Leanne Tennant

“One of the tracks from the upcoming album is called “Coastal Pines”. I love going back home and swimming in the ocean. Plastic Free July should really be “Plastic Free Forever” ~ jade imagine (and the marine life of the world)”

I always bring a bottle To ward off Dehydration. A gentleman should play no part In seabird strangulation!

“I don’t go anywhere without my water bottle and I’m so happy to see so many venues and festivals getting rid of the plastic. Let’s keep it up and make Australian live music 100% plastic water bottle free!” Liz Stringer

“Re-usable drink containers make for a healthier future for our planet. I’m proud to support the #BYOBottle campaign”, Brad Butcher

“Join me in celebrating a Plastic Free July by refusing single-use plastic. Let’s keep our oceans clean.” Jack Johnson

“I use my re-usable water bottle everywhere I go. Not only is it better for the planet and my health… it makes life easier and is super convenient. I love my sexy re-usable water bottle!” Sahara Beck

“We decided that ditch single use plastic water bottles and coffee cups about two years ago – we travel constantly and the amount of waste that you can create if you’re not being mindful is staggering. Our travel kit isn’t plastic free, but is what works best for us and consists of two Keep Cups – particularly useful on long flights to save using dozens of small disposable plastic cups – plus one water bottle with a built in filter so we can confidently drink the tap water anywhere, and one folding water flask that is super handy to take everywhere.
It’s certainly worth a little bit of effort to do whatever we can to minimise single use plastic use.” Hussy Hicks

“A puppy is for Xmas, but plastic is FOREVER! BYO water bottle” The Bombay Royale

“Single use plastic is a culture we just gotta curb, in the music scene and everywhere else. We’re touring this month & endeavouring to keep plastic OUT of our music making” Moreton

“It’s time for us to go Plastic Free. #BYOBottle”
Birds of Tokyo

“Plastic bottles are shit. They’re just too easy when you’re on tour. Please say no to them, carry a drink bottle with you! We’re lucky enough to have plentiful clean water out of taps in this country, which means there’s no excuse for adding more single use plastic waste to our environment” Luca Brasi

Aine Tyrrell joins Green Music Australia for their BYO Bottle campaign

“On behalf of my band and the earth please don’t put single use plastic bottles or cups in our backstages. We love the shit out of our #BYOBottles and they love the shit out being on stage with us!” Áine Tyrrell

Madeline Leman joins Green Music Australia for it's #BYO bottle campaign

“I’m proud to have my reusable drink bottle on stage with me! Single use plastic bottles must go.” Madeline Leman

‘A water vessel is an essential item for a human to carry! We love them, value them and have several favourites we use over & over & over at every gig & wherever we go!’

The Cutaways join Green Music Australia for their #BYO Bottle campaign

“The Cutaways passionately support Plastic Free July! There are lots of progressive thinkers in the music industry, but there are still plenty of single-use plastics being used at shows and practice rooms every night across the country.. We converted to reusable water bottles some time ago, it cuts down our reliance on plastic, and using water that comes out the tap saves us heaps of money too!” The Cutaways

Stav joins Green Music Australia's BYO Bottle campaign

“I always bring my own bottle. Drinking water should be free and accessible for everyone. Yes, yes, yes! Let’s work together to make Australian festivals plastic-bottle free!” STAV.

‘I’m pretty keen to put an end to the excessive empty plastic bottle collection that just my band and I alone accumulate over the duration of a show… It will make a huge difference if everyone plays their part in making this change.

I don’t know about you, but I certainly don’t want plastic to outweigh sea life in our oceans by 2050. Re-useable drink bottles and keep-cups are a good start….

Not only is it cheaper to use a reusable water bottle, you are also saving our precious sea life from plastic! #BYObottle’
